Why Wall Calendars?
Paper wall calendars – with one flip-down page per month – were ubiquitous decades ago, and fell out of fashion once everybody had devices screaming the time at us and coordinating our appointments with coworkers. But it’s the 2020s, and wall calendars are having their main character moment again! Who saw that coming?
Here’s the real magic: wall calendars are basically the most affordable art gallery you’ll ever own. For the price of one teenybopper poster (remember those?), you get twelve months of curated beauty or hilarious graphics that make your office or kitchen look like a Pinterest board come to life.
Plus, there’s something deeply satisfying about the physical act of flipping to a new month. It’s ceremonial. It’s intentional. Your phone might auto-update to February, but YOU get to dramatically tear off January and reveal that stunning photo of cats fighting with light sabers or men in kilts or whatever calendar you, personally, selected.
