Description
The Anima Mundi deck by Megan Wyreweden is a complete 78-card deck with an accompanying guidebook. It’s based on the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition and inspired by Megan’s deep fascination for the natural world, which she has cultivated since childhood.
“Anima Mundi” is a Latin term that translates to “the world’s soul.” Initially coined by Plato, it refers to the belief that all living things are connected as a single spiritual entity. Loosely inspired by medieval iconography and Renaissance art, this deck is a tribute to this planet’s incredible biodiversity.
The cards were created in 2017, individually hand-painted with acrylic paints. This project was brought to life in October 2017 via Kickstarter.
